K. D. Migara Dinesh, a four-month-old infant is suffering from a patent Ductus Arteriosus of the heart and is being treated by Consultant Cardiologist, Dr. S. Narenthiran at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for children, Colombo.

He needs an Amplatzer PDA (A PDA) closure device for surgery.

His parents are Samurdhi recipients and are unable to meet the cost of the APDA which is Rs. 132,000. All contribution could be remitted to A/c No. 328-2-001-0-3991955 People's Bank, Kottawa Branch to save the life of this infant.

Death of former Lake House medical officer

Dr. Samathar James Gunaratnam, former Medical Officer of Lake House passed away yesterday. His remains will lie at the A. F. Raymond Funeral Parlour from 10.00 a.m. this morning. Funeral will take place today at 4.00 p.m. at Borella Kanatte.
