Angsana unfolds

The long awaited Angsana City Club and Spa Complex was officially
launched last Tuesday (September 5).
Located adjacent to the Crescat City residencies, it is a spacious
multi-storeyed complex with trendy decor and offers all the trappings of
an international City Club and Spa.With twelve treatment rooms, steam
and sauna rooms, hot and cold bath pools, a fully equipped
state-of-the-art gymnasium, dance studio, roof-top pool and health cafe,
a boutique shop offering Angsana products as well as sports-related
gear-the whole concept is an offering of a world class product for total
well-being.
The first floor saw the launch of Echo an up market Italian
restaurant which brings a new flair and flavour to relish. A
trend-setter restaurant of Cinnamon Grand, it is opened for both lunch
and dinner and seats over 70 people. Heading it all is the Master Chef
Sgroi Giuseppe whose unlimited wealth of experience and innovative blend
of ideas to serve authentic Italian fare is a boon to all discerning
diners.
Echo, in keeping with its trendy name is everything Italian, for the
extensive menu and wine list puts it on par with some of the best
restaurants serving authentic Italian cuisine in the world.
The menu offers nine anti-pasti (Italian term for starter), twelve
preparations of pasta and risotto, eight types of pizzas, speciality
fish and meat dishes and a tantalising array of desserts.
With a modern and trendy interior decor and soft lights, it is an
ideal nite-spot to end your day of high pressure work.

A musical show of original sixteen golden songs will be presented by
Sanath Fernando, today (September 10) at Elphinstone Hall, Maradana. The
show titled Sayura Addara will commence at 3.30 p.m. and will besides
Sanath, feature many other popular singers and musicians.
An old Cambrian of Prince of Wale's College, Moratuwa, Sanath is
proud of the fact that he is Moratuwa born, since Moratuwa is famous for
its musicians.
"I will be presenting my CD at the concert and I'm happy to say that
I will be gifting my first copy to Dr. Pandit Amaradeva at the concert.
The music is by Jagath W and Dilshan and these songs, lyrics and
melodies are my own, inherited from my childhood. I have performed many
musical events and open air concerts not only here but also abroad" says
Sanath who extends an invitation to musicians to grace the occasion.
Besides the Sinhala songs, Sanath will also perform three original
English songs, "I have a memory, 'Yesterday You Promised me' and
'Everybody Dance Together' the music for which is by Dilshan Thamel.
The Resident Manager of the Catamaran Beach Hotel in Negombo, Sanath
enjoys working in the hospitality trade as it gives him many
opportunities to meet and rapport with guests from all walks of life.
