Probe on investment gridlock

A high level committee has been appointed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to look into complaints and problems related to Foreign Investment and Trade Issues.

This committee will be chaired by Secretaries to the President, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance. A Parliamentary Consultative Committee held a special session on Foreign Affairs last week. The committee consisted of Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Ministers and parliamentarians of different political parties.
