Kasi Wasi to attract coins

Kasi Wasi is the latest program to be launched today by the National Savings Bank (NSB).

This program is being launched to bring coins into circulation. At present there is a shortage of coins though sufficient coins have been minted as they are collected by children.

NSB launched the Kasi Wasi program to attract coins on the instructions of the Central Bank, CEO and General Manager S.H. Piyasiri said.

Under this program a person who brings the money in a NSB till or any other till to a NSB branch, post office or to the NSB Savings Shop can deposit the money in an account.

As a special benefit the depositor will get Ridee Rekha certificates worth Rs. 50. Each certificate is valid for two years and each person is entitled to gifts worth millions of rupees at a draw held once every three months.
