A Celebration of colour

Holi in India is celebrated towards building goodwill and to greet the arrival of spring, So it was! at the South Lawn of the Taj Samudra in Colombo.

All guests were greeted with rubbing of colour on the face which later developed into spraying, splashing and ultimately bathing each other in multi-colour which resulted in what you see in these pictures.

A special group of Bangara Dancers were flown in from India for the event this year, colourfully clad the dancers both male and female performed to the hearts content of the guests who were present, joining in to sing and dance along keeping tempo with the dancers on stage.
