Lasitha, Subodha win "double" each

Badminton: Lasitha Menaka and Subodha Dahanayake won the Men's and Women's Open Singles titles respectively at the 3rd Fingara Open Badminton Championships sponsored by Eco Apparels at its Courts. There were over 350 competitors and over 500 matches were worked off.

Sandaru Weerasinghe and Nayomi Karunaratne won the women's Open Double title, while Niroshan Wijekoon and Kamal Gamlath won the Men's Open Doubles title. The Mixed Open Doubles was won by Kamal Gamlath and Chandrika de Silva.

Predeep Welagedera and Sriyani Deepika won the Men's and Women's Veteran's singles title, while Sriyani partnered by Imali Fernando won the Women's Veterans' Doubles title with the Men's Veterans' Doubles title was won by Clarance Homer and Dharshana Senaratne. The Mixed Veterans' Doubles title went to Homer and Sriyani Deepika.

R. S. Dahanayake and Mansala Ranawana won the Boys' and Girl's Under-19 Singles titles respectively, while Chiranthaka Minimuthu Subodha Dahanayake won the Boys' and Girls' Under-17 Singles titles respectively.

Nayomi Karunaratne and Sanduru Weerasinghe won the Girls' Under-17 Doubles titles, while the Boys' title was won by Chiranthaka Minimuthu and I. U. Gurusinghe with the Mixed Under-17 Doubles was on by M.K.M. Shaqqeeb and Sushmitha Illangakoon.

Dudula Sahabandu and Sushmitha Illangakoon won the Boys' and Girls' Under-15 Singles titles respectively, while Harinda Hettiaratchi and Sushmitha Illangakoon won by the Boys' and Girls' Under-13 Singles titles. The Boys' and Girls' Under-10 Singles title was won by Pulina Kasun and T. D. Siriwardene respectively.
