 Kuwait-based Sri Lankan, K. A. Dimuthu Prasanna won the first place
in the design of a stamp to commemorate the 16th Independence Day of
Kuwait. The Kuwait postal authorities have since issued these stamps.
This is the fifth time the Lankan had won the first place in
stamp-designing.
He designed the logo for Sri Lanka National Institute of Fisheries
and Nautical Engineering (NIFNE) and received an award from the then
Fisheries Minister and present President, Mahinda Rajapaksa. |
