DHL sponsor Dinesh Jayawardene again
MOTOR SPORTS: DHL, the world's leading express and logistic company
renewed its sponsorship with Sri Lanka's star racing driver Dinesh
Jayawardene for the third consecutive year.
This partnership between DHL and Sri Lanka's fastest driver among
standard car categories, complements each other, with both sharing the
same values - Speed and Reliability.
Country Manager, DHL Express in Sri Lanka, Martin Dudek, said that
DHL was honoured to associate itself with a racing car driver of the
stature of Dinesh Jayawardene and was confident that the sponsorship
will be mutually beneficial. With this sponsorship, DHL, further
strengthens its overall commitment to fostering sporting talent both in
Sri Lanka and around the world.
Dinesh Jayawardene said that he was exceptionally proud and happy to
embark on this new partnership with a prestigious global brand like DHL
as "speed binds us together in this win-win partnership".
The 33-year-old Jayawardene is a dynamic and talented racing driver
who is set Sri Lanka's next Formula Ford champion. He was introduced to
the sport at the age of nine years by his father Mana Jayawardene, and
has excelled since then. Jayawardene is also one of the main
championship contenders in the Formula Ford 1600 cc and currently runs
an SLGT, better known as Super Cars 3500 cc series.
Leading the SLADA championship with a total of 40 points. Dinesh
Jayawardene, also has two Fox Hill events to his credit with his new
car, the SLGT Super Car. He is an old boy of Royal College and director
at Auto Force (Pvt) Ltd.
