Eighteen teams for Charles Robinson hockey

HOCKEY: The eleventh Charles Robinson Memorial All-Island Inter-Club seven-a-side hockey championships will be conducted on 24th June 2007 at CH & FC, Maitland Crescent, from 8 a.m. onwards.

This year too, the tournament will be conducted by Colombo Branch of the Matale Old Thomians' Association. Large number of entries were received and the tournament committee, having assessed the nature of the tournament, selected on performance the 18 outstanding teams to participate in this year's tournament.

Attractive cash prizes and valuable trophies will be given away to the champions, first runner-up and second runner-up. Furthermore, the most valuable player selected by special panel will be richly rewarded. The 18 teams have been divided into the following groups:

Group A - Army S.C., Colts C.C., Park S.C., Matale Old Thomians', B.R.C.

Group B - CH & FC, Old Christ Church, Malwatte S.C., Old Zahirians'

Group C - Royal H. C., Police S.C., Galle S.C., Old Vijayians'

Group D - AirForce S.C., Old Peterite, Malay S.C., Wennapuwa, Old Nalandians'
