Fresh initiatives to stabilise CFA
The representatives of the Co-Chair countries
dealing with the Sri Lankan peace process are expected to gather at
the Norwegian capital Oslo this week to discuss the current state of
the Ceasefire Agreement in Sri Lanka (CFA).

Abductions a blessing in disguise
The abduction of persons by unknown groups are
politically motivated, Minister of Posts and Telecommunication D. M.
Jayaratne told the 'Sunday Observer'. The Minister said most of the
rich persons who were alleged to have been abducted during the past
few days have returned to their homes safely.

Moulana condemns allegations by UNP Muslim MPs
Western Province Governor Alavi Moulana
yesterday condemned the baseless allegations made against the
Government by some UNP Muslim MPs over the recent abductions and
killings of Muslim businessmen and ordinary Muslim persons in the
country.
