BCIS-YCL youth awards

The Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies - Young Community Leader Awards (BCIS-YCL) is an annual national event which will be organised by the Youth Empowerment Division of the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies commencing August 2008.

The objective of the Awards ceremony is to recognise and reward the youth activists/young community leaders of the country who have rendered commendable services and vibrant leadership in the community development sphere.

The awards ceremony would also serve as a catalyst for promoting and encouraging the volunteer involvement in finding viable solutions to the issues affecting the youth and their communities at grassroots, regional and national level. The event focusing on rewarding the young community leaders, will be a flagship event that promotes youth activism in Sri Lanka.

The Youth Empowerment Division (YED), BCIS has been empowering youth in their activities and has gained experiences and recognitions among the youth and youth organisations.
