President to address UN Summit

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will address the 62nd United Nations (UN)
Summit in New York on September 25.
He will address the Heads of States on September 25 at 3 p.m. (New
York time) on national issues, plans and suggestions to overcome
terrorism of the LTTE. President Rajapaksa will visit the Buddhist
Viharaya, New York tomorrow and on September 25 will attend a cocktail
reception with President George Bush.
Later in the evening the President will meet the UN Secretary General
Ban Ki Moon in a one to one meeting.
The President will also join all delegates at dinner. The President
will meet the Sri Lankans and Asians in Los Angeles on September 27 to
brief them on the current situation in the country. |
