For the first time in Sri Lanka, over 600,000 television viewers will have the privilege of watching a reality TV series, 'Action Heroes'. Action Heroes is a reality TV series by Boodi Kirthisena aimed at selecting an actor and actress for his feature film ?Pale Blue?.

The star-studded cast of the film comprises of Sangeetha Weeraratne, Ravindra Randeniya, Sachini, Chaminda Vas and Sunil Perera and Nalin Perera. 'Pale Blue' will be a different film as it will not only be an action film but also will include political and, spiritual elements.

Besides selecting actors for the film, 'Action Heroes' will be a good hype for the film. Boys and girls with look of being aged 20-28 (for boys) and 20-26 (girls) can eligible to apply for the series. Application for the series will be closed towards the end of the month and next month?s onwards, two episode tele-dramas will be telecast on Rupavahini.

The series will be limited to twenty episodes in twenty weeks and during the two and half months, a lot of candidates will be eliminated to select two out of four episodes. The selected will be given training plus challenges such as how to do a stung. Out of stung, candidates will be given points. Though each and every candidate will not be able to reach the finals, none of will be a looser as they are being exposed to 600,000 viewers across the nation.

According to Boodi, this would provide an excellent opportunity for youngsters to launch a career in film. Boodi earnestly hope that Sri Lankan youth would not miss this exciting opportunity.
