Mihiri Kandanarachchi Best Sportswoman at Mahamaya

Thirteen girls from Mahamaya College, Kandy won the "School Pahana", the highest award for sports while eighty girls won 'School Colours' for various sports activities at the Annual Colours Night of the College held last week end under the patronage of former Sri Lanka Test Cricketer Sidath Wettimuny.

The following girls won the 'Pahana' Award:-

Athletics Shamalka Anandagoda, Hockey: Ayeshani Weerakkody, Swimming: Dinali Sun, Hansanie Weeratunge, Ruwanthi de Silva, Chess: Sajini Wejetunge, Madhusha Mataraarachchi, Cadeting: Sgt. S. Vaidyanatha, A. Udangamuwa, G. A. Abeygunasekera, U. Premadasa, P. Dissanayake, Table Tennis: Ruwani Weerasekera.

Best Sportswoman of the 2005/2006 - Mihiri Kandanarachchi
