Sebs on first innings

CRICKET: St. Sebastians gained a first innings win over Nalanda in their school's cricket match played at Moratuwa.

Visitors in reply to Sebs total of 300 for 9 declared were bowled out for 204 runs with two half centuries coming from Ashan Priyanthana 53 and Chetana de Silva 50. In their second essay homesters were 79 for 3 when bad light stopped play at 3 p.m. and the hero of first innings Rajitha Mendis collected 48 runs.

St. Sebastians: 300 for 9 declared and 79/3 (Rajitha Mendis 48, Amal Attapattu 2/41).

Nalanda: 204 (Ashan Priyanthana 53, Chetana de Silva 50, Nipun Karunanayake 22, Janitha Jayawardene 3/38, Sanjay Fernando 3/45, Rashan Fernando 2/45).
