De Mazenod in stunning win over Peterites

CRICKET: De Mazenod College Kandana, was the first to secure a place in the quarter finals of the Old Wesleyites conducted 15th Lemonade Trophy Schools Six A Side Cricket Tournament when they beat the more fancied St. Peter's by one wicket in a keenly contested match at Campbell Park yesterday.

The Peterites scored 87 for 4 with Anuk Silva top scoring with 47. The Mazenodians in the run chase achieved victory in the last ball, Yohan Fernando was the top scorer with 41.

Dinesh Lokuge of Ananda College was the top scorer for the day when he struck 72 n.o off 22 balls with ten fours and three sixes in their match against C.W.W. Kannangara MV.
