The arch rival of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and leader of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kalagam Jayalalitha Jayaram has branded whoever supported the LTTE as traitors of India and insisted that they should be arrested and imprisoned.

New ruse by Tigers seeking HRC help to escape

A 37-year-old father of three children who operated in Jaffna area as an LTTE intelligence cadre has reportedly sought assistance of the Jaffna Human Right Commission claiming that he was under death threats, but subsequent follow - up of his conduct proved that his house was used as a storage of arms, ammunition, explosives and warlike items for the LTTE.

Troops destroy two bunkers

Troops attacked five bunkers destroying two of them completely at Nagar Kovil at 9.20 am yesterday. Defence spokesman Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara said that five LTTE cadres were killed in the attack. The troops also recovered the body of an LTTE cadre and seized a T - 56 weapon and four magazines at Nagar Kovil where the attack took place.
