CALTEX - OBSERVER Rugby Awards on Nov. 21

RUGBY AWARDS: The Observer-Caltex Touchdown Rugby Awards will be made on Wednesday (November 21) at the Galle Face Hotel's Palm Lounge at 7 p.m.

The Most Popular Team and Most Popular Player Contests has been sponsored by the Observer and Caltex for a number of years, and this year, Kandy Sports Club the undisputed champions of the local rugby scene and Sri Lanka's former captain and dashing wing three-quarter Sanjeewa Jayasinghe emerged the winner.

Apart from these two awards, there will also be awards made at a glittering ceremony for the Best Team, Best Captain, Best Forward, Best Three-Quarter and the Most Outstanding Player made by a selection panel of the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU).
