IFS AB, a global leader in component based business software, often referred to as ERP, celebrated its 10th anniversary in Sri Lanka recently.

Since the company opened the Research and Development Centre in Sri Lanka in 1997 it has grown to become one of the biggest software companies in Sri Lanka and a significant part of IFS global operations. Today the Research and Development Centre in Colombo employs over 600 Software Professionals, working with the development, support and sales of the world leading business solution, IFS Applications.

Senior Vice President of the IFS Group, Thomas Petersson, visiting Sri Lanka on the occasion of the anniversary said: "The R & D Centre in Colombo is by far the largest contributor to the development and support of IFS Applications.

We are very impressed by the high quality of the software produced by the Sri Lanka R & D Centre and the competitiveness of our products in the international market bears testament to the success of our Sri Lanka operation".
