JCIA celebrates 20th anniversary

The Japanese Commerce and Industry Association in Sri Lanka (JCIA) held its 20th Anniversary Celebrations at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, Kiyoshi Araki.

Local business leaders, senior government officials, top diplomats, local chamber representatives, foreign chambers in Sri Lanka such as the Korean Businessmen's Association (KBA), Japanese related associations such as Japan-Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA) and Japanese Graduates Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (JAGAAS), and the members of JCIA and Prof. G. L. Peiris, Minister of Export Development and International Trade were present.

Chairman of JCIA Kosei Fujikawa thanked the government for the support extended to member companies of JCIA in overcoming the numerous difficulties they faced. K. Fujikawa said that 20 years of JCIA activities in Sri Lanka had not only transferred advanced technologies but also encouraged and developed people and markets in Sri Lanka.
