Laugh... moderately

If you're depressed, stressed or sad, laugh moderately. Not excessively. Laughing moderately can heal your sad feelings. It can work as a therapy for depression and stress. Moderate laugh can keep your soul enlightened and vibrant.

One of the Arabic scholars has said "I make it a practise to laugh in order to give rest and comfort to my heart". By smiling or in another words, by laughing moderately you can cast off worries, which are perhaps permeant inhabitants of your heart. Do laugh, and then see how much it will heal you. A moderate laughter clears all impurities in your heart. When you laugh it gargles the worries and throw them away.

In Islam they teach that a best form of charity one can do is to smile at people who you meet and to please them through that. Prophet Mohommed said that "If you smile in the face of your brother, then that's a form of charity.

How please will you be to see a smiling face, rather to see a frowning face. I would like to ask that question from you... You like to see a frowning face or smiling face in the morning as you get up..? Doubtlessly it should be a smiling face. No one would like to see a frowning face.

A smile implies a good manner or a good conduct of a person. It gives a pleasant feeling of a person. It shows the friendliness in a person. At the first glance if we see a person frowning we will not have good first impression which will last a long time.

At a glance if we see a person smiling, how wicked or rude the person can be, we tend to think that he is a good person. Frowning continence is a mark of a low character, lightheartedness and hot heatedness. These are the advantages of a good smile. Victor B orge said "A smile is the shortest distance between two people".

Smile every day, if you have a reason to smile or not. It will refresh your day. Smile in the morning, it will work as a booster for the day.

One of the scholars wrote in one of his books "People who are always smiling not only make their own lives more joyful, but what is more, they are more productive people in their work and have a greater ability to live up to their responsibilities. They are more prepared to face difficulties and to find expedient solutions for them. They are prolific workers who benefit themselves and others".

One of the writers once asked what he chooses if he were to chose between money and a smiling self. He said he prefers a smiling self to money, because for what is great wealth if it begets misery.

I recently read a book, it says, "The rose is smiling and so is the forest. The oceans, rivers, the sky, the stars and birds are all smiling. Similarly, the human being by his very nature is a smiling entity, were it not for those things that counteract this natural disposition, such as greed and selfishness, evil that contribute to his frowning.

As such he is an anomaly and at odds with the natural harmony of all that surrounds him. Therefore the person whose heart is sullied cannot see things as they truly are. Every person sees the world through himself, through his actions, thoughts, and motives.

So if our actions are noble, if our thoughts are pure, and if our motives are honourable, then the spectacles through which we see the world will be clean, and the world will be sen by us as it really is- a beautiful creation.

If the spectacles become dirty, and their lenses stained, then everything will seem to be black and morbid.

And at the end the writer says "How much in need we indeed are of a smile, a friendly face, easy going manners, a gentle generous soul".

When you laugh, remember not to laugh at other's faults, because no one in the world is perfect. When you laugh at someone, remember in the next moment you can be a subject for others to laugh at. When you laugh make sure you don't do it in the intention of mocking or jeering.

"A smile is a curve which can set a lot of things straight".
