CMA Lanka and all India Management Assn. sign Mou
The Society of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA)
entered into a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India
Management Association (AIMA) for the conduct of business Management
Program by the CMA Business Management School. The MoU was signed at the
Taj Samudra Hotel.
Karu Jayasuriya, Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs
was the Chief guest. The Guest of Honour was A. Manickam, Actg. Indian
High Commissioner in Sri Lanka. Prema Cooray, Secretary General/CEO
Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Priyantha Serasinghe, Group Director of
the capital Maharaja Organisation, Col. S. C. Mohan Executive Director
AIMA, Prof. D. N. Rao Director Centre for Management Education AIMA,
Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, President CMA, H. A. Wehalle, Secretary CMA
and Bashir Ismail, Treasurer CMA were present.
The All India Management Association was set up in 1957 as the
national apex body of management profession with the support of the
Government of India and the Indian industry.
AIMA is upheld by a broadbase of 58 local Management Associations and
two Co-operating Associations abroad.
Its membership base includes over 30,000 professionals as individual
members and over 3,000 corporate organisations and management
institutions as institutional members.
The government of India is represented in the Council of Management
of AIMA through the Ministry of Human Resource Development. AlMA held
the presidency of the Asian Association of Management Organisation
during 2005-2007. |
