Teleview wins Business Excellence award again

Teleview (Pvt) Ltd. won the Business Excellence Award for the second time in succession for the Leisure and Entertainment Category at the National Business Excellence Awards Ceremony 2007, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce at the Colombo Hilton under the patronage of Ms. Kaoko Ishii, Resident Representative of the World Bank.

Teleview (Pvt) Ltd. which was incorporated in 1984 as a Television Program Producing Company, the oldest Production Company is known as Multi Media Company since 2000.

Teleview has produced the highest number of tele series to the local television industry and has won the highest number of awards for a single Teledrama to be produced in the television industry. "

Dandubasnamanaya" which won 20 out of 22 awards at the Sumathi and OCIC awards ceremonies won the maximum number of awards.

Dandubasnamanaya was the only teledrama which won the best teledrama and the most popular teledrama awards at these ceremonies. Teleview won the Prime Minister's Award for the Best Documentary and also won awards for the outstanding TV/CM of the year twice which was presented by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and also won eight Gold Awards, four Silver Awards and three Bronze awards for its creations from Sumathi and other awards ceremonies.

Badulla Video Village which was constructed for the purpose of Television Programs is the only video village in Sri Lanka with all modern facilities.

The Teleview Technology Academy which commenced 15 years ago to train technical and performing artists has also been expanded as a Multi Media Training Academy. At present Teleview conducts Computer Courses successfully.
