Sri Lanka's largest apparel exporter Brandix, which employs more than 22,000 people will support EDEX 2008, billed to be the country's largest ever higher education and careers exhibition as the event's Platinum Sponsor.

Scheduled to take place at the BMICH from January 18 to 20 and at the Queens Hotel Kandy from January 22 to 23 the fifth edition of this annual event expects participation by more than 130 exhibitors and visitor numbers to top 100,000 according to its organisers, the Royal College Union.

Commenting on the decision of the Brandix Group to support this initiative, Brandix's Chief People's Officer Nigel Forbes said, "EDEX gives Brandix the opportunity to showcase the depth of the apparel industry as well as the Group and the diverse careers options available. It also gives us a platform to present opportunities for vocational and professional growth and development within our organisation.
