'Psychology and spirituality helps transformation'
World Congress 2008:
Over one hundred and fifty scholarly
presentations based on conceptual analysis and clinical work will be
presented. The delegate explained that the action-oriented
international networking event aims to foster global collaboration,
demonstrations projects and co-authorships among the representatives
for future enhancement in the fields of spirituality and health
care, sacred marriages, family life and aging, spirituality of grief

Wimal Dissanayake represents a rare breed of
bi-lingual Sri Lankan intellectuals and belongs to a vanishing past.
Dissanayake is a unique academic who is capable of working at
five-tiers of creative and academic spheres. First and foremost, he
is a bi-lingual poet. He writes in both Sinhala and English.
Secondly, Dissanayake is a trained scholar in Elizabethan Drama.

The need of the hour:
Even highly westernised nationalist leaders like
Sir Ponnambalam Ramanadan favored Swabhasha education. Yet, most of
these leaders and educationists in the same breath emphasised the
need to promote bilingualism, or even trilingualism in the country,
taking into consideration both educational and national needs.
