Evils on earth:

To put an end to evil on the planet earth, one must first realize the
Truth of the first principle of Confucianism. This principle states that
“Human nature is good; and evil is essentially unnatural. In the world
you hear about killings, bombings, revenge and friends carrying tales,
making everybody miserable.
Evil is essentially unnatural |
This mostly happens when they feel jealous. Jealousy begins in one’s
home and gradually spreads to your place of work then it turns out as a
festered wound for ever. Why do all these happen? Is it money, status
and love?
Let’s talk about money. We need money to live properly but still some
go beyond that. They want to get the best of their lives. Yes, everybody
likes to live in luxury. But why rob or steal other’s property.
You have to live according to your means or earn wealth in a manner
where others will not be affected.
Coming up in status and pride, many people want to show off their
pride by dressing well or travelling in a luxury vehicle. True you need
to have status but people respect you according to your performance by
treating others. Even after death you will be respected but still how
much on earth can you have this respect?
Talk about love, there are many enemies around lovers. They even
resort to murder.
There are criminal activities on this particular subject. Most of
them see their family background, if the couple is not suitable to their
family the man of the house resorts to murder and then some parents turn
a blind eye.
Lovers may face many problems with friends because most of the
friends entertain bad thoughts and try their best to harm the couple.
You may never know your enemy beside you, trying to attack you in a
friendly way. An enemy in the guise of a friend.
Why can’t we ponder over death and adjust ourselves perhaps, at least
this will help your mind to be free and your thoughts pure. This action
might give you a good reaction with good health and wealth. After all
what do we gain by harming others when you treat someone in a cruel way.
The assailant may be suffering from some kind of illness. Of course
he or she is not a normal person. Everybody has the right to live not to
die unnecessarily. While on our journey we never know whether we will
reach home safely. Rich or poor ones has to face death unexpectedly.
Why can’t we live in a friendly and helpful way and it helps your
daily lifestyle in good spirit. Everyone gets angry, some they say
stress and some kind of illness but this is not an issue to make others
unhappy.
Even if you are angry over some issues, the best ever you could do is
close your eyes for at least 10 minutes and see the difference. Then you
harm no one. Think of yourself consciousness twice and then you will do
the needful.
Taking revenge is also common among humans. The word sorry is never
mentioned in any way. But still about 25% of mankind says sorry. When
you say sorry to someone you have ill-treated, your enemy becomes your
best friend. Apologising is the greatest thing that humans can do to
stop violence. Why can’t the human being understand this fact? Even
animals behave in a way more than human.
At present you barely see the difference between animals and humans.
The best way to control one’s self to become a peaceful warrior, one
must conquer the ego in one’s own mind. This can be done by following a
wide variety of religious, spiritual teachings and sports activities.
These teachings all have certain common concepts. A human being must
understand that material things, relationships with others, satisfaction
of the senses and the need for self control cannot bring enlightenment.
They must practise self-discipline, non-judgment and selflessness. They
must also be generous, kind and mindful.
Another key element towards putting an end to evil on Earth is the
practise of nonviolence. This practice ensures that a person in the
spiritual path does not become what he hopes to eliminate.
It may be alright at times to lash out at those who are known to have
committed evil deeds, but one must understand that more evil forces than
ourselves are at work.
When things go well for an individual, it is easy to ignore the evil
that goes on in other parts of the world. We are lulled into thinking
that if it does not affect us directly, then we do not have to be
concerned about it.
We can also have our energy drained by taking upon ourselves the
suffering of others when there isn’t anything that we can do about the
situation. In either case the ego, or “smaller self” has diluted the
individual person.
A wiser course of action is to cultivate loving-kindness in oneself
while having a positive effect on situations that we can have an impact
on. A person on the path must accept the fact that we are not free until
we are all free. This freedom must also be extended to beings in the
animal kingdom as well as Earth itself.
Freedom is an interesting concept. Some assume that if we are free to
elect our government and practise our faith we have achieved freedom.
Although this is a form of freedom, it is not true freedom.
In order to be truly free, a person must conquer fear. This does not
mean that a person will never be frightened by a particular
circumstance, but rather that they live their life free from worry. As
one’s practice deepens, a person will take an unemotional look at his or
her own mortality.
They will come to know the part of themselves that cannot die, and
will understand true peace. It is also important to understand that all
beings on earth are spiritual beings first, and physical beings second.
One of our senses, the mind, has two components-the ego and the “higher
self” or the understanding of “Unity Consciousness.”
The basic tenet of the ego is that the physical being is separate
from other beings and therefore separate from nature. If a being accepts
the ego as truth, that being will be drawn to unhealthy thoughts, words
and deeds. The fact that this happens, leads to suffering for all beings
as well as our Earth Mother. |
