Miss Germany celebrates Avurudu in Galle

Meeting the 2007 Beauty of the World, Miss Germany Claudia Hein is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Thanks to the Sri Lanka Tourism Board who got down this stunning beauty along with Miss Germany 2008 Kim-Valerie Voigt and the third runner up for the same pageant, Carina-Alexandra Nix.

Born in the beautiful township of Cologne, from the time she was sweet sixteen, Claudia took the limelight as an aspiring model. Thereafter, she worked as a news anchor for private German television ‘RTL’ and eventually became a much-loved actress from the time she played Sabine Conrad, an assistant receptionist in the daily soap ‘Among us’. She also starred in ‘Forbidden Love’, ‘SK-Babies’ and ‘FIT FOR FUN TV’.

When she attained 24 years of age, she won the title of Miss Germany and last year in August bagged the title of ‘Beauty of the World’. She has trained as a fitness trainer.

When asked whether she is in a relationship, she laughed saying “Even though it is a private thing, so far I have no time for a relationship because I am busy travelling the world which is what I love to do”.

Asking her about how she was inspired to come to Sri Lanka, she stated “I am happy with the Ayurveda Spas because even though I have travelled all around the world to many spas, nothing compares to the Sri Lankan Ayurveda spa”. She further said “I hope to travel as much as I can around your beautiful country and so far I love the diversity it has to offer.”

Claudia and her colleagues have been in Sri Lanka for two weeks where they went ballooning with the rest of the tourists, part of a special tour provided by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board.

The beauties ventured into exotic locations like the Lion Rock, Minneriya National Park, Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and other exotic locations. They celebrated Avurudu taking part in the celebrations in Galle where they got an insight about our tradition and culture.

The Avurudu Outhseva and other traditional games really got them to see the fun and dynamic side of Sri Lanka. Claudia did note that she would love to visit us again with the hope of not only discovering our gorgeous island but also to check out our cute Sri Lankan males. So good news for all those single guys out there!
