Ritchie wins Division 'A'

GOLF: Stewart Ritchie with a nett 72 and a better back nine emerged the winner of Division 'A' ever Sheron Fernando in the April Monthly Modal of the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) at the Ridgeways sponsored for the fifth consecutive year by Hitachi.

Harin Udeshi won the 'B' Division with a nett 67, while Sushil Kumar was runner-up on a nett 69.

Aruna Ratnayake won the 'C' Division with a nett 63 from Errol Weerasinghe who had a nett 67. General Rohan de S. Daluwatte with a nett 76 won the Seniors category with Shirley de Silva as the runner-up with a nett 77, while Titus Fernando with a nett 67 won the Masters category with W. M. Lee as the runner-up on a nett 73. M. Amarapathma with a gross 70 won the Pool Player category from Ajitha Bandara who had a gross 72. (L.G.).
