plague could cause death:

A plague of death due to Leptospirosis, a high risk zoonotic disease which mimics symptoms of serious viral fever similar to Dengue and Chickungunya has been reported from around the country causing 41 deaths up to April 11, Dr Navaratnasingam Janakan, Consultant Epideiologist, Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Healthcare and Nutrition told the Sunday Observer.
