The Star Night Awards 2008 ceremony hosted by Douglas and Sons to
reward their dealers from many parts of the country who performed well
was held recently. Over 700 dealers from different parts of the country
were present.
Douglas and Sons Marketing Manager, Anura Fernando said the Star
Night was an opportunity to reward their dealers who helped the company
to maintain its position as the market leader in Sri Lanka's auto parts.
Dealers who performed well last year were rewarded with a three- day
trip to Bangkok, the largest group of auto dealers to be taken on an
overseas tour. Mahinda Subasinghe of Pathma Motors said the company
knows how to show its appreciation to its dealers.
Douglas and Company which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2006 has
grown from a small company to be the market leader in imported tyres,
automobile batteries and automotive spares. It has a workforce of 225
with a 1500 strong dealership.
The company is also a leading manufacturer and supplier of soft and
organic toys, the newest addition to the product range for the
international market through retail chains such as Marks and Spencer,
Mothercare and other high end American buyers. |
