A value added Diploma in a year
The Synergy School of Marketing pioneered the entry of CAM
(Communication Advertising and Marketing), a Diploma in Marketing
Communications, offered by the CAM Foundation in association with CIM
(Chartered Institute of Marketing) UK.
The Diploma which was redesigned to include two assignment based
assessments and three examination based modules is a six-month program,
if a student were to take up all five modules in one sitting.
It is an international communication based Diploma which could be
completed in six months. The primary sectors which have taken to this
program are the advertising and media industries with modules designed
to expose the candidates to the intricacies of these industries.
'The CAM Diploma is a unique qualification for those working or
wishing to work in Marketing Communications.
It links all the main disciplines of the industry such as PR,
Advertising, Integrated Media, Direct Marketing and Sales Promotion and
Marketing and Consumer Behaviour.
A student who qualifies with the CAM Diploma in Marketing
Communications understands how those disciplines work together to
improve performance and lead to success within a business' said,

HSBC lifestyle show
HSBC launched an innovative education and entertainment (edutainment)
TV game show which will bring financial decision making a part of your
lifestyle. Introduced for the first time in Sri Lanka by a bank, the 'HSBC
Lifestyle Show' a twelve episode reality TV game show will be screened
on Derana TV at 7.30 pm every Wednesday.
The 'HSBC Lifestyle Show' will be played out on a life size game
board, with a promising experience that is larger than life where real
people will be faced with making real life decisions in real time.
Each group of participants will be given a cash limit and a credit
card limit to invest wisely during the game, thus making the game show
an opportunity to provide participants with valuable financial knowledge
on how to invest, save, spend their hard earned money and prove that
money spent wisely is an earning.
Currently there is a trend among the public where they consider
investments to be more of a rewarding financial instrument. Hence the
key aim of the show is to educate viewers at large on how to invest
wisely and maximise their returns.
Associated Motorways opens Rs. 75m workshop
Associated Motorways PLC has invested a substantial amount of money
to introduce modern technology for the motor car paint and body repair
workshop at Peliyagoda to ensure speedier repair of damaged vehicles to
provide a higher level of customer service, said Chairman of Associated
Motorways PLC, Ajita De Zoysa.
He was speaking after opening a Rs. 75 million Body and Paint Repair
Workshop at New Nuge Road, Peliyagoda.
The ceremony began with the Chairman of the Peliyagoda Urban Council
Nihal Ananda hoisting the national flag whilst Ajita De Zoysa, Chairman
AMW PLC, Shivantha De Zoysa, Senior General Manager/Sales and Marketing,
Viran De Zoysa Senior Marketing Manager, Hema De Soysa Assistant General
Manager hoisted the AMW flag, Nissan flag, Suzuki flag and Maruti flag.
Orient Magline awarded ISO certification
Orient Magline (Pvt.) Ltd., manufacturers of Orange Electric Magline
enclosures were awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification for
its manufacture of modular and non-modular type switch boards,
distribution boxes, enclosures, cable management systems, data and
communication server racks and accessories including wired electrical
panels.
Orient Magline is the only manufacturer in this category to receive
