Love Forever Spoken

Anuki’s Diary

Dear lovers,

Guys say....

.This week let me discuss the same topic like last week, as to whether ‘True love still exists’ in society’? But this week’s views are given by the guys. Yoshitha Udawatta, who is a professional, thinks love is just a feeling which is a craving, until this world exists. He says, “Love is based on a give and take basis and if people prefer to take more, instead of giving, how can true love exist in this world?

Yoshitha, adds: If you take the characters like Romeo and Juliet, they were immature and never knew what living a life was all about. I think if they would have lived and after some time they would have got separated.

During the period 1960 to 1980 a record number of lovers had committed suicide all over the world, because they didn’t know the reality and the value of life. If I can recall the famous saying “When problems come from the front door, love escapes through the back door”. So, I personally think true love has never existed or exists in this world”.

Amar Amaratunge who lost his love once, thinks true love exists but only once in your lifetime. One might lose it due to many reasons.

He says, “The lovers who get separated due to unavoidable circumstances ‘might’ get married to someone else. But their relationship will never be same or true or with the previous partner. The best example I could give about true love is the song by Karunarathna Dewulgana,

‘Gahaka mal pepila
Pepaynay aeada nodaname
Hethaka mal pepila
Pipaynay aeeda nodanamee
Nubata sitha bandunay kimaee ma thawama Nodaname
Nubata sitha bandee karane mama thawama soyanname’

Malith Ranasinghe who is having a similar relationship, for seven months now, feels, “Sometimes it is better not to understand whether true love exists or not, because it can cause unlimited pain to lovers.

The things that we get to see as it is would always cause pain than the things that we don’t get to see. This is how I feel about love as well. There may be quite a good number of true lovers, but the majority is just playing around with their partners’ lives”.

Sunrise

Feelings blooms like roses,
Words are untold in silence,
This night absorbs the happiness,
Write me when sun rises....

Sun rises with the feelings I hold for you,
Blooms and fragrance the roses I pick for you,
Silent words shows my care for you,
Sunrise to sunset my heart waits for you,

Sunrise to sunset I think of you,
I fly in the sky to get you,
Wing blows hard out of the blue,
Will I be able to find my way through....

Finding the way though is beginning for me and you,
Blows off the blues and clears the way for me and you,
Spreads the wings of eternal love for me and you,
Sunrise to sunset once again it’s me and you....
