Army capture Periyamadu Tank

Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said that the Periyamadu Tank with the 2.5 kilometre bank in Mannar front was liberated from the LTTE by the Army yesterday.

The LTTE had fled from Palampitty to Periyamadu Tank area. Seven soldiers were injured. The troops were able to caue heavy damages to the LTTE, he said. (WLSA)
