PAD donates books and stationery

The Public Assistance Department (PAD) of the Colombo Municipal Council donated books, stationery and other school material to children of deserving families in the Colombo Municipal Council area at New Town Hall recently.

The Chief Secretary of the Western Province, Victor Samaraweera was the Chief Guest. The project was implemented by the Special Municipal Commissioner.The main objective of the project is to encourage and improve the education standard of children in the Colombo Municipal Council area.

Additional Secretary to the Western Province Education Ministry Sandya Wijebandara and Special Commissioner H. Sumanapala were present.
