Edex exhibition to empower youth

Chairman, `EDEX' Exhibition committee, Kamal Abeysinghe said it is important to provide vocational training and develop skills of students, school leavers and undergraduates. He said the `EDEX' Exhibition will help them to seek guidance on education and employment.

The three-day annual `EDEX' Exhibition, organised by the Royal College Union, Colombo for the sixth consecutive year will be held

at the BMICH from January 23, 25. `Empowering Youth to be Globally Competitive' is the theme of the three-day exhibition. An exhibition to develop skills and provide vocational training will be held at the Queens Hotel, Kandy on January 27 and 28.

Sunday Observer, Daily News and the MTV are the media partners, while Sri Lanka Telecom, Singer Sri Lanka and Brandix are the official sponsors of the exhibitions. Abeysinghe said that over 100,000 participants are expected this year and the program is represented by officials of higher education institutes, foreign universities.
