D. S. Senanayake College wins desktop computer

D. S. Senanayake College won the desktop computer with M3 high speed internet connection at the monthly draw for the school nominee of the Observer-Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2009 contest. The special draw was on coupon number two.

The principal sponsor, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel is also offering additional prizes apart from computers for schools - two Mobitel mobile phones each week as readers' prizes.

Three lucky winners picked by readers who sent in their voting coupons would receive attractive cash prizes - Rs. 5,000 every week.

Three lucky winners to be picked every week would receive Rs. 2,500, Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,000 from the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL).

After the count number two of the Observer-Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2009 - St.Peter's College captain maintains the lead with 1,803 votes followed by Yasith Abeyratne of Royal in second place with 1,573 votes and Buwanaka Ekanayake in third place with 1,151 votes.

S. H. Indunil Kumara of Devapathiraja Vidyalaya, Ratgama is also in the lead in the outstation contest with 855 votes while Shehan Silva of Joseph Vaz College takes the second spot with 659 votes and Krishan Wickremarachchi of Gamini MMV third with 550 votes.
