Petrol issue - committee awaits lab reports

The three-member committee appointed to probe the substandard petrol issue would release its report after receiving the laboratory reports from abroad.

Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayantha said that the recommendations of the committee would be implemented.

The Second Committee will investigate public complaints. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation would compensate the owners of the vehicles damaged due to the substandard petrol, he said.
