Approach
There are two easy routes to approach the holiday resort. One is to
come to Katukurunda junction along Galle Road and turn to Matugama. It
is only a two-hour drive from Colombo. You can also reach the
destination by passing Horana and Bulathsinhala via Paragoda.
Kukuleganga Holiday Resort consists of three types of apartments
namely single room, double room and triple room apartments. You can
enjoy and relax with the superb service provided by experienced and
friendly staff of the Kukuleganga Holiday Resort.The holiday resort is
located on a 17 acre land and it is an ideal place for outdoor pursuits.
Most of the private and state sector institutes select this place for
their conferences, outbound training and adventure programs. The holiday

Scenic beauty
You will marvel at the places of religious and scenic beauty in the
vicinity. Underground hydro power station is located ten kilo metres
away from the holiday resort. No visitors are permitted in due to
security reasons but you can take a glimpse of its rocky entrance
installation from a little distance.
Sinharaja, one of the world’s heritages is located about 49
kilometres from the holiday resort. Makeliya waterfall has been and
another attraction for the visitors. It is 15 minutes drive from the
Holiday resort. The waterfall is 60 feet in height.
If you want to take a cool and natural dip, go to the natural pool
about 10 kilometres away from the holiday resort. Cane bridge is also
attracted by thousands of holiday makers. Pahiyangala rock and Kalugala
monastery are two important religious places located near Kukuleganga
Holiday Resort.
A huge Dun tree is about 33 kilometres away from the holiday resort.
The famous and massive Dun tree is said to be the one of the biggest
trees in the wet zone. The circumference at the bottom of the tree is
about 28 feet and the height is about 150 feet. Sky bridge is also
located near the massive Dun tree. Sky bridge was built about 100 years
ago joining two rock cliffs on the main road when construction
technology was very primitive.
