CRICKET: Left-hand batsman Ashan Dinura Ranasingha, Captain of St Thomas’ College, Matara has surpassed the magical 1,000-run mark in a cricket season. Ashan went past 1,000 runs on Thursday - the 8th of March against Karandeniya MV and is now aiming for 100 wickets this season. He has so far taken 93 wickets and has 5 innings more this season to capture the required 7.
