Trade talks between Sri Lanka and Romania
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) will hold a
presentation and discussion on 'Bilateral Economic and Commercial
Relations between Sri Lanka and Romania' on April 25 from 3.00 to 4.30
p.m at the Chamber Auditorium, at D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Victor Chiudjea, Ambassador and Charge
D’affaires of the Romanian Embassy in Sri Lanka. He will speak on the
current business trend, trade potential, opportunities for export,
import, investment and other services for Sri Lankan businesses in
Romania.
Participants will also have an opportunity to interact with the
Charge D’affaires and officials of the embassy and get first hand
information on economic and commercial relations between Sri Lanka and
Romania, and business related issues in doing business with Romania.
Major exports to Romania from Sri Lanka are electrical and electrical
equipment and parts, rubber and rubber products, animal or vegetable
fats and oils and their products, articles of apparel and clothing
accessories knitted or crocheted, inorganic chemicals, prepared animal
fodder, palm oil and its fractions, articles of paper board, paper pulp,
live fish, articles of iron and steel.
