Mobitel's first regional customer contact centre in Sooriyawewa

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel launched its first regional contact centre in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota, expanding its capacity to serve its customers better. The Sooriyawewa Contact Centre was opened by Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Chairman Hambantota District Development committee, MP Namal Rajapaksa. Mobitel officials and employees were also present. The new contact centre is in the Sooriyawewa Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium Complex.

This is the first regional contact centre opened by Mobitel. Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel successfully reached the completion of this project within a short span. As the national mobile services provider, Mobitel remains consistent in working towards the development of ICT in rural areas of Sri Lanka.

The opening of the Centre in Sooriyawewa has benefited residents and locals of the area as it has created job opportunities while introducing Mobitel technology to the region. Employees have been selected from the area and adjacent towns. Mobitel now boasts of a strong team of qualified and dynamic individuals who will prove to be of great value to the company's performance.
