UPFA May Day rally at Town Hall

The UPFA May Day rally will be held at the Colombo Town Hall under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said SLFP General Secretary and Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena.

He said that the May Day rally will begin at 11 am at Campbell Park, Borella.

This year’s theme will be Rata Ekata. All constituent parties will participate in the celebrations, the Minister said.

The Minister said that several rounds of discussions were held with all UPFA trade union leaders to bring their supporters in large numbers to Colombo to display the unflinching strength of the UPFA Government, he said.

It will also be a forum to display the government’s massive development drive and inter-racial harmony among Sri Lankans, he said.
