Douglas and Sons sponsors top drivers

MOTOR RACING: The 2012 race season started with Team NGK DSL joining hands with more qualified and high performance drivers with proven records in the race tracks. The team comprises Upulwan Serasinghe, Janaka Dias, Lakmal Wijayarathne, Ajith Keerthi and Lalin Kirinda.

Douglas and Sons Ltd. (DSL) continues its sponsorship yet again.

Upulwan Serasinghe having more than 15 years experience is on the top in his class of facing SLN 1.3 and 1.5. In the same category Lalin Kirinda has proven to be the 2nd best in the class. He is a challenge to other drivers and also to Upulwan Serasinghe, Janaka Dias being the best among the best for the last five years has been a challenging driver in the SLGT and SLH races.

Other drivers will have to watch out as he rises to the challenge every single time. Ajith Keeerthi, since 1994, has been a specialist in the Mini 1050 category on gravel and on tar and has remained an undisputed leading driver in his class. Lakmal Wijayarathne, who was always a winner in the Mini from 2009, moved on to the SLH category last year and from that time on he has been challenging other drivers with several wins.

Team DSL will be having NGK blue and white branded cars on the track with 9 cars taking part in more than 14 races per event this year. They will be a hard team to beat and other teams will have to be watchful.

For the 2012 calendar year, the team has already won 18 races and there are more to be won in the upcoming Fox Hill and other races to be held in the coming months.
