Josephian Samarawickrema and Maris Stella’s Jayasinghe take the lead

MOST POPULAR SCHOOLBOY CRICKETER OF THE YEAR 2012 CONTEST: Josephian Sadeera Samarawickrema and Angelo Jayasinghe of Maris Stella College, Negombo took the lead from last week winners Ashan Wanigaratne (Thurstan) and Kavindu Ashan (Royal, Panadura) at the end of count number 10 in the Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Contest All Island and Outstation 2012 respectively.

In the Outstation contest Angelo Jayasinghe climbed to the top position with a majority of 335 votes while the difference between Samarawickrema and Wanigaratne was 825 votes in the All Island Contest.
