Samsung launches Galaxy S III Smartphone

Samsung Electronics, a leading global digital media and digital convergence technology company launched its latest Galaxy S III Smartphone in Colombo last week. The new smart phone has unique features such as voice recognition and understanding the purpose of the user.

MD, Samsung Electronics India H.K.Chang said "Galaxy S III is inspired by nature and human capabilities. It is smart and simple by design. It is an example of how design and technology can be combined with intelligence and imagination to create innovative products.

The strong adaptation of Smartphones by the Sri Llankan market has encouraged us to sustain the excitement in the marketplace by launching flagship, iconic devices like the Galaxy S III".

Smartphone S III with 4.8 inch HD super AMOLED display, 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front camera offers users a variety of intelligent camera features and face recognition related options that ensure all moments are captured easily and instantly. It is powered by 4.0 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of the Android platform for phones and tablets, with greatly enhanced usability and practicality to make life easier.

Interaction experience between the device and the user in Galaxy S III can detect the face of the user, voice and movements. The S-Voice feature in the Galaxy S III is an advanced natural language user interface that can listen and respond.

The company said that Samsung holds a 40 percent share of Smartphone market in Sri Lanka and is the leader in the segment. Globally too Samsung has 40 percent share in the Smartphone market. Galaxy S III Smartphone is available for Dialog customers with an attractive offer of 2GB per month for six months. John Keels Office Automation distributes the Samsung Smartphone SIII islandwide.
