Roy de Silva remembered

The second death anniversary of L.Frank Reginold De Silva (Fondly known as 'Roy de Silva among his friends and colleagues) fell on Monday, June 18.

Roy was the Sports Editor of the Daily News for several years before joining the Sunday Observer editorial for a few years prior to his retirement.

Sathya Sai Foundation Director due here

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Prasanthi Council Chairman and Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation director Dr. Narendranath Reddy will visit Sri Lanka on July 7.

He will make his first keynote address at Royal College Navarangahala Hall, Colombo 7 on July 8 at 9.45 a.m.His visit is considered an event of great significance with Sadguru Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba leaving his physical body last year on April 24.Dr. Reddy will deliver keynote address at forums in Colombo, Kandy, Anuradhapura, Vavuniya and Jaffna.

He is expected to enlighten the Bhagavan Baba devotees and others of the relevance of Sai teachings.

AGM of old Peterites (Group 87-92) on June 29

The 13th Annual General Meeting of the Old Peterites Group of 87-92 will be held on Friday, June 29 at 6.30 p.m. at Sr. Flora Memorial Lecture Room, St. Peter's College. It will be followed by fellowship at the OBUH with food and beverages.
