Cambrians clinch 'C' division rugby title

Prince of Wales' College emerged undisputed all island Rugby Champions of the Sri Lanka schools Under-20 Division 'C' Singer League Tournament when they defeated formidable and more fancied Ananda College, Colombo by 22 points to 15 under the able leadership of Centre Player Randika Warnapura and the game was worked off at Air Force grounds, Rathmalana.

Cambrians were unbeaten throughout the season and they won all their nine matches with ease with big margins and this is the second instance that they clinch a championship on their thirty year old Rugby history and during the half time it was 22 points to 15.

Cambrians had four tries with Skipper Randika Warnapura (two) Pivithuru Wijerathne and Bagya Perera one each and one conversion by Pivithuru Wijerathna. Ananda College scored two tries each by M. Sankalpa and S.D. Hettiarachchi and penalty from T. Hemarathne. Both tehse teams are now qualified to play in the 'B' Division next season.
