Expolanka Group bags four awards

Expolanka Holdings PLC's subsidiaries Expolanka (Pvt) Limited, Expolanka Freight (EFL) and Hello Corp (Pvt.) Ltd won two Gold, one Silver and a merit award at the National Chamber of Exporters Awards Ceremony 2011, held in Colombo last week.

Expolanka Limited, an exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables since 1978, won the Gold Award in the 'Extra Large Category for Value Added Agriculture - Coconut-based Products', and the 'Most Outstanding Exporter Gold Award for Value-Added Agriculture Exports'.

CEO of Expolanka Limited, Mohamed Annam said, "We are honoured and privileged to receive this accolade. We have always been keen in developing the local industry and taking our products to the global market. This award is a testimony to our contribution and our efforts".

"Expolanka (Pvt) Limited has a prominent presence in the Middle East, the Mediterranean, Africa, Australia, Europe, and the United Kingdom and has continued to be Sri Lanka's largest exporter for these produce, for the past several years," a spokesman for the company said.
