Free membership of National Library for Reading Month

October has been declared National Reading Month by the National Library and Documentation Services Board. In relation to this, the National Library will offer 10,000 one-year free memberships during October 2012.

Many university academics, researchers, journalists, university students and others have made use of this opportunity.

The opening hours of the National Library are: Tuesday and Thursday - from 8.30 a.m. to 6.15 p.m.; Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday - from 8.30 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. (Closed on Sunday and other public holidays).

Those interested can make use of this offer by visiting the National Library during these times. Application forms can be obtained from the main counter of the Reader Services Division.

All Sri Lankans are eligible for membership.
