The interactive education tool 'Candela' which was launched recently in Sri Lanka was adjudged winner in the e-Learning and Education category at the e-Swabhimani National Best e-Content Awards ceremony.

The e-Swabhimani is an initiative of the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka to recognise excellence in digital content creation.

"It is available in the form of a CD which can be loaded on to any computer to provide children with a learning experience. Candela learning tools are based on the Education Ministry's official curriculum for science," a spokesman for Candela Technologies said.

"They are designed to provide children with an engaging, rewarding and motivating learning experience. Candela educates and motivates the child to learn by creating an environment that is stimulating and fun," he said.
